Galerie Pelar is an Internet Gallery with a large available inventory specializing in period and contemporary paintings, drawings, sculpture and Murano glass. The gallery was established in 1985 in London as a conventional viewing gallery. For the past five years we have expanded as an Internet gallery as the Internet has grown. Viewings can still be arranged at our premises or in your home.

Our premises in Lelant, Cornwall is also home to our award-winning Sculpture Garden, which was established in 2006. 2008 has seen the exciting addition of a sculpture courtyard garden in the newly energised Chapel Street area of Penzance. The Sculpture Garden at Galerie Pelar is home to a changing exhibition of works by over 35 national and international sculptors.

The gallery and gardens are owned by Paul Wingett and managed by Dominic Francis-Smith. Martin Lucus is Head Gardener for the Sculpture Gardens, which were designed by Chris Green, Paul Wingett and James Eddy.

Gallery Sales

Purchases from the website can be made by telephone, post, or e-mail. Payments can be arranged by personal cheque or wire transfer of funds in US dollars, UK Sterling or Euros. SALES ON APPROVAL require full payment in advance with a guaranteed refund within one week if the artwork is not as expected.

Shipping

We use specialist "Art Movers" in New York, St Ives, London, and Venice, Italy. Overnight delivery can be arranged through FedEx or DHL. Shipping and insurance for small artworks is usually included in the purchase price. Shipping costs of larger items will be discussed at the time of purchase depending on size, weight, and distance.
