The Sculpture Gallery is part of The Pelar Arts Group, the gallery on Chapel Street, Penzance, Cornwall is the love child of Dominic Francis-Smith. We were born from the life long passion of Paul W Wingett and Galerie Pelar, Paul has spent four decades gathering a stock of sculpture and paintings from around the world and promoting new and exciting artists, while specializing in period and contemporary paintings, drawings, sculpture and Murano glass.

The gallery was originally established in 1985 in London. For the past five years we have expanded the gallery to the Sculpture Gardens and The Sculpture Gallery in Penzance, Cornwall. Our premises in Lelant, Cornwall are also home to our award-winning Sculpture Garden, which was established in 2006. The Sculpture Garden at Galerie Pelar and The Sculpture Gallery in Penzance is home to a changing exhibition of works by over 35 national and international sculptors and painters. While the new Sculpture Gallery has become our new HQ and we show a vast stock of world renowned artists work's, such as Pablo Picasso, Renoir, John Miller, Charles Napier Hemy, Gino Borgoni and Paul Gauguin to name but a few.

The space at Chapel Street has a comfortable environment and the London chic we have created in all our gallery spaces. We invite you to simply come and relax and enjoy the work, in a friendly environment. We strongly believe the work will sell itself, so come and enjoy the space, relax and interact with the work. As we have grown and expanded we now offer Sculpture workshops at the Sculpture Garden in Lelant, near St Ives. The workshops are the first in a process to promote new artists and we hope to give inspiration to anyone who simply wants to come along and just have a play at carving, as the essence of any creativity is "Being Playful."
